Because a home occupation must remain clearly incidental to the residential use and cannot alter the residential character of the structure, exterior advertising signs, illuminated business signs, and window displays are not allowed. Any business needing on-site signage generally cannot operate as a home occupation and must locate in a district that permits commercial signage under the UDC.
