12 of the parks chapter, adopted by Ordinance 915-C-S in 1996, is Antioch's core anti-camping rule for public parkland: no person may camp or lodge in a tent, vehicle, or directly on the ground in any city park or recreation facility, and the prohibition expressly extends to the parking lot areas surrounding those facilities, closing off the spaces encampments most often use. The section's second sentence targets vehicle-based overnight stays specifically: no one may stay, remain or sleep in a motor home or other motor vehicle in a park or its parking lot except during daylight, for security purposes, and even then only with the Parks Director's written permission, meaning overnight vehicle habitation in a park is barred outright regardless of the hour.

08(A), which closes all park and recreation facilities from dusk to dawn unless posted otherwise, so a person removed under the camping ban is also barred from simply remaining in the closed park after hours. 08(A)(2); refusing to leave after being directed to do so is a separate violation. 2-10, separately bars dumping bottles, waste, garbage or trash on park grounds or into park waters, which the city applies to abandoned encampment debris left behind after a site is cleared.
