Summary
Greeley bans camping on any public or private property citywide unless the city expressly authorizes the location, under an ordinance adopted in June 2025.
It is unlawful for any person to camp on any public or private property, except in any location where camping is expressly authorized by the city. It is not a violation of this section if a person is camping on a residential property with permission of the property owner for less than seven days in a calendar year.(b)It is unlawful for a property owner to allow camping on the owner's property, except in any location where camping is expressly authorized by the city. It is not a violation of this section for a property owner to permit camping on the owner's residential property for less than seven days in a calendar year.(c)A violation of this section is a misdemeanor offense and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished pursuant to chapter 9 of title 1.
