Section 94-85 of the Mission Code of Ordinances requires that any tree planted, grown, or maintained in a restricted sight-triangle area or any public right-of-way keep its branches and foliage no lower than 15 feet above the street gutter flow line. Section 94-84 separately bans any tree branch that visually blocks a traffic control sign within those same corner sight triangles. Under Section 94-82, the city may enter private or public land and remove any prohibited growth from the triangular corner areas without liability to the property owner, in addition to any fine imposed.
