Frisco follows North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) drought stages. Year-round twice-weekly watering by address, no watering 10 AM to 6 PM April-October.
Frisco purchases water from NTMWD and enforces the district conservation ordinance. Year-round watering is limited to twice per week on assigned days by address. From April through October, no irrigation is permitted between 10 AM and 6 PM to reduce evaporation. Stage 3 drought can further restrict to once per week. Hand watering with a handheld hose and drip irrigation are generally exempt from day restrictions. New sod permits allow additional establishment watering.
