Full Breakdown
Under Killeen Code of Ordinances Sec. 18-21, weeds, grass, or brush on any lot of two acres or less may not exceed 12 inches in height. The same 12-inch limit applies within a 50-foot strip along public streets and next to occupied lots on tracts over two acres, with 48 inches allowed on the rest (agricultural-exempt land excepted). Owners must also keep adjoining right-of-way, including the strip between sidewalk and curb, below 12 inches. The city's Code Enforcement Division abates uncut lots, assesses costs plus an administrative fee under Secs. 18-44 and 18-45, and files a lien with the Bell County clerk.
