Chapter 15, Section 224 of the Borough Code, added by Ordinance 2153 in 2016 and expanded by Ordinance 2164 in 2017, bars operating 'any motor vehicle, including a motorcycle, motorized scooter, licensed motorized pedalcycle or minibike' in or on a designated bike lane or two-way cycle track that is marked with painted lines, physical lane delineators or appropriate signage. Section 224 lists the streets carrying these protected lanes in a table of block segments and which side of the street the lane runs on; the clearest entry covers Beech Street between Jackson Street and Roland Street on the street's south side.

The same table adds designated lanes or cycle tracks on High Street, Industrial Highway, Washington Street, Jackson Street, Eighth Street, Roland Street, York Street, West High Street and Manatawny Street, expanded twice by Ordinance 2164 in 2017 to add more corridors as the Borough built out its bike network. A driver should check the posted lane markings or the current ordinance table for the exact block and side of any specific street, since the table lists many separate segments.
