Decatur Code Section 98-186 governs riders directly: no one under 18 may operate a shared scooter, sidewalks are off-limits, and devices must stay in a bicycle lane or path, or on a street posted at 35 mph or less if no lane exists, riding as far right as practicable and in the direction of traffic.
