Frisco does not currently authorize a shared electric scooter or bike-share fleet on public right-of-way; private scooter operations on city sidewalks and trails are restricted under municipal rules.
Unlike Dallas, Frisco has not licensed a dockless shared scooter operator for public right-of-way deployment. Riding electric scooters on sidewalks, trails, and public greenways is generally prohibited or restricted, particularly in stadium districts surrounding The Star and Toyota Stadium where pedestrian traffic is heavy. Personal scooter and e-bike use on streets must follow Texas Transportation Code rules for low-power devices. Operators that drop scooters in Frisco without authorization face impoundment by code enforcement and FPD. Universal Studios Frisco area planning has not yet announced shared mobility integration.
Riding in prohibited areas can lead to citations; unauthorized commercial scooter drops can lead to impoundment fees and operator penalties.
