Full Breakdown
Clark County Code Chapter 20.09 regulates ground transportation companies, including transportation network companies (TNCs), at Harry Reid International Airport and the county's other airports. Section 20.09.010 lets the director of aviation designate the areas used for all ground-transportation pickup and parking activity and requires TNC vehicles to carry an AVI transponder or decal. Section 20.09.060(a)(3) authorizes the director to suspend a TNC's passenger pick-up privileges entirely, at the director's sole discretion, forcing the company to block airport pickups within its own app until compliance is restored.
Violations & Fines
Violating any Chapter 20.09 rule, including TNC pickup-zone and AVI compliance requirements, is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a $500 fine, six months in county jail, or both; each day is a separate offense.
