Full Breakdown

Under the city's noise performance standards, handling boxes, crates, containers, building materials, garbage cans, or similar objects on private property between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. in a manner that creates a noise disturbance is a prohibited activity. The rule targets the timing and manner of the noise, not delivery activity itself, and applies citywide regardless of the underlying zoning district or business type.

Violations & Fines

A prohibited-activity violation under Chapter 17.58; code enforcement can cite the responsible business or property owner and require the loading/unloading schedule to shift outside the 10 p.m.–7 a.m. window.
