Section 18-41 sets fire-abatement and nuisance rules for all licensed mobile businesses, whether operating on public or private property. Subsection (g)(4) governs generator safety directly: all generators must be located away from the public and public pathways with a barrier installed to prevent tampering with cords or contact with hot equipment, fuel must be stored in a UL- or FM-approved flammable liquid safety container, the generator must be grounded, and it "shall not be refueled in areas occupied by the public." Subsection (h) folds noise into the general nuisance rule for mobile businesses: "There shall not be any amplified music, use of any amplified sound system, excessively loud generators, and/or any moving or flashing lights," and the vendor must comply with all city noise and nuisance ordinances.

Subsection (k) separately requires portable generators to be "securely affixed to the mobile business" and repeats that they "may not be excessively loud or in conflict with any City of Laredo noise and/or nuisance ordinances." These rules apply specifically to licensed mobile vendors, whose businesses are otherwise capped to operating hours of 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. under section 18-40. Enforcement runs through the city manager's power to suspend or revoke a mobile business license under section 18-42 for any Code violation, public nuisance, or safety hazard, on top of a criminal penalty in section 18-43.
