Section 22-54(o) makes it unlawful to run a generator on the beach unless the unit meets every listed specification. Noise output must be 60 decibels or less, the single clearest numeric ceiling the Code places on any noise source in Walton County. The same subsection layers on additional hardware requirements: power output capped at 120 volts and 2,000 watts, engine displacement no greater than 100 cubic centimeters, physical size no larger than 24 by 12 by 18 inches, an integrated fuel tank, and a sound-reducing enclosure box while the unit is running.

Fuel cannot be stored on the beach or boardwalks, and anyone using a beach generator must keep a ten-pound Class ABC fire extinguisher on site. These specifications sit inside Sec. 22-54, the chapter's general beach conduct and use section, which also regulates fires, fireworks, glass, littering, sound amplification, and vending, all enforced together. Deputies of the Sheriff's Office and Code Compliance officers issue citations for violations under Sec. 22-62. 00, with continuing violations counted daily as separate offenses.
