Lancaster County, NE Noise Ordinances: Amplified Music & Outdoor Sound (2026)

052 of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Zoning Resolution lets the Planning Commission grant a special permit for a farm winery social hall in the AG Agriculture District, but only on the same premises as an existing farm winery. Condition D is the county's sole amplified-sound restriction tied to this use: there is no amplified music allowed outside of the farm winery social hall, except during a wedding ceremony. The hall itself is limited to one primary event space and up to two secondary event spaces, and the primary space cannot be open for use more than three days a week.

Attendance is capped at 400 people in the primary event space and 100 people in each secondary space. The site must have access from a paved road, and parking must be provided at one space per 100 square feet of building. 0 foot-candles. The Planning Commission, or the County Board on appeal, cannot waive the premises requirement, the capacity limits, or the paved-access requirement, meaning the amplified-music limit is one of the few conditions that could theoretically be adjusted through the special-permit process, though the Resolution supplies no separate general noise ordinance for outdoor amplified sound anywhere else in the unincorporated county.
