Pinellas Park prohibits amplified music or sound that can be plainly heard beyond the property line during nighttime hours and limits commercial outdoor amplified entertainment, particularly between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Under Pinellas Park's Chapter 16 noise rules and Pinellas County's noise standards, amplified music from any establishment played between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. is unlawful unless it is contained in a closed building and inaudible from outside. During daytime hours, amplified music must not exceed residential decibel limits (typically 72 dBA at the receiving property line). Outdoor concerts, party speakers, and car stereos producing sound plainly audible 25 to 100 feet away can be cited. Special event permits may be required for outdoor commercial entertainment.
Amplified music violations can result in noise citations, civil fines up to $500 per offense, business license complaints, and equipment seizure for repeat car-stereo violations.
