Under Β§15-73, operation of construction equipment is unlawful between 9 PM and 7 AM in residential areas or within 300 ft of any residentially occupied structure (150 ft buffer for schools, places of worship, and medical facilities). Exceptions apply for emergency operations or city-contracted work deemed necessary to avoid traffic impacts or utility disruptions. Violations must register above 60 dB(A) at the nearest complainant's property line for mechanical/construction noise to constitute probable cause.
