Under Sarasota County Code Sec. 54-118, permitted construction and land clearing is generally allowed 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. when equipment runs to manufacturer specs with noise-reducing gear in use. Alteration, construction, drilling, demolition, repair, land clearing or filling operations are restricted between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. weekdays, and 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. on weekends or holidays, absent emergency or a permit. Government capital-project construction is exempt at all times; refuse collection is exempt 6:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
