Sedona City Code §8.25.030 allows operation of power tools and lawn maintenance equipment — including leaf blowers — in residential areas between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., provided equipment is properly functioning with mufflers.
The 7 a.m.–8 p.m. window is the safe-harbor for residential power-tool use. Equipment used outside that window risks a §8.25.060 violation (the 9 p.m.–7 a.m. quiet-hours rule). Equipment must be functioning per manufacturer specifications with all mufflers and noise-reducing equipment intact. Sedona has not adopted a gas-powered leaf-blower ban, but excessive or sustained noise from blowers can still trigger nuisance enforcement.
Civil infraction under §8.25. Defective mufflers can also be cited.
