Outdoor music in Perris is governed by the same amplified-sound limits in Perris Municipal Code section 7.34.040 (80 dBA daytime, 60 dBA nighttime at the property line) and the loudspeaker prohibition in 7.34.080(2). Music in public parks and parking lots needs prior written city approval and must stay within those limits under 7.34.080(6). This is the city's own framework.
Perris does not have a separate festival or patio-music ordinance; outdoor music falls under Chapter 7.34. Section 7.34.040 permits amplified music or human voice but caps it at 80 dBA from 7:01 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and 60 dBA from 10:01 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. when measured at or beyond the property line. Section 7.34.080(2) prohibits operating any sound-reproduction device, musical instrument, or amplifier in a manner that disturbs the peace, quiet or comfort of a reasonable person of normal sensitivity, except for licensed parades or city-authorized activity. Specifically for public spaces, section 7.34.080(6) makes it unlawful to operate a radio, phonograph, television or other sound device in any public park, public parking lot, or adjacent street without the prior written approval of the city manager or administrator, and even then only if it does not exceed the levels in the section 7.34.040 table. Restaurants, breweries, and venues hosting outdoor live music must therefore keep property-line noise within the 80/60 dBA limits, and special events on public property require advance city authorization. These are City of Perris rules and apply within the incorporated city.
Outdoor music exceeding the 7.34.040 limits, or amplified in public spaces without the required written city approval (7.34.080(6)), is a public nuisance punishable as a misdemeanor (7.34.010) and may end an event; enforced by City of Perris Code Enforcement.
