Required: full cut-off fixtures, amber LED (560+ nm) or low-pressure sodium, motion sensors, tinted windows on seaward sides. Code Enforcement and sea turtle patrols conduct nightly checks during nesting season. FWC coordinates statewide.
First offense: $250 warning. Repeat: $500/night during nesting. Harm to nest/hatchling: federal Endangered Species Act penalties up to $50,000.
