Clark County Code §14.04.005 defines abandoned vehicles and §14.40.043 prohibits them on any highway, street, public thoroughfare, or public property. The 72-hour standard applies consistent with Nevada state practice. Derelict or inoperable vehicles on residential streets are subject to citation and towing. Rolling a vehicle a short distance does not reset the timer per the 2017 revision. Property owners can have unauthorized vehicles towed after proper notice under NRS 487.038, with costs borne by the vehicle owner. On private property, inoperable vehicles visible from the street may violate code enforcement standards. Report abandoned vehicles to LVMPD, Constable's Office, or Clark County Public Response Office at 702-455-4191.
