Vehicles that the Director of the Miami-Dade Police Department deems a serious threat to public health, safety, or welfare must be removed within 24 hours or face towing. Inoperable vehicles on public rights-of-way are subject to immediate towing. On private property, junk vehicles visible from the street violate Chapter 19 property maintenance standards. Vehicle owners are responsible for all fines, towing fees, storage fees, and administrative costs. Report abandoned vehicles through 311.
