Pasadena Municipal Code Chapter 10.44 prohibits parking on city streets between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM. This overnight parking ban, first enacted in 1921 and amended to the current timeframe in 1948, applies citywide. Overnight parking permits are available for residents. The city operates an Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program under California Vehicle Code Sections 22660 through 22668 and Section 22710. Vehicles parked on public streets for more than 72 consecutive hours without moving are subject to citation and towing. Inoperable or unregistered vehicles on private property visible from public areas may also be cited under the city's property maintenance code (PMC Chapter 14.50). The Parking Division handles enforcement and can be reached at (626) 744-7665. Towed vehicles can be located through Pasadena Police Department records.
Overnight parking citation. 72-hour violation results in citation and towing at owner's expense. Storage fees accrue daily. Vehicle may be sold at lien sale if unclaimed.
