Full Breakdown

Ceres Municipal Code § 10.04.110 makes it a permit-first system: a commercial vehicle with a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 pounds or more cannot be left on a residential street without a City Engineer permit. The rule doesn't reach delivery trucks actually making pickups or drop-offs at a building on that street. Separately, § 10.03.020 bars parking any vehicle over 10,000 lbs GVWR on any street the Council hasn't designated unrestricted, and § 10.04.120 caps truck/trailer parking at 22 feet or 5 tons on non-truck-route streets, with a 2-hour cap even for deliveries.

Violations & Fines

Parking a 10,000+ lb GVWR commercial vehicle on a residential street without a City Engineer permit; Police may cite or tow after 72 hours under § 10.04.130.
