Ceres, CA Parking Rules: Driveway Rules (2026)

Under Ceres Municipal Code § 18.25.010(K), all minimum required off-street parking facilities, parking spaces, aisles, and access drives must be paved to provide a durable, dustless surface, and graded to drain water without damaging neighboring properties, streets, or alleys. The zoning code separately caps a single-family driveway itself at covering no more than 50 percent of the lot (§ 18.02.010, definitions). Beyond the minimum required spaces, the Community Development Director may approve excess parking areas surfaced in graded gravel instead of pavement, but only under detailed conditions: a two-inch minimum gravel depth, a pervious base, paved driveway aprons at least 20 feet long connecting to the street, and no bare spots or vegetation.
