Garfield limits each household to one registered commercial vehicle under its resident parking program, and bars heavy oversized commercial vehicles on streets overnight.
Garfield's Resident Parking Program permits each household to register only one commercial vehicle that meets the program's size requirements: no more than four wheels on the ground, not over 22 feet long, and not over 7 feet wide. Active delivery and pickup trucks, utility company vehicles, and trucks already covered by other ordinances are excluded. Separately, no person may park an oversized vehicle, including a truck, tractor, trailer, semitrailer, or omnibus with a registered gross weight (or combined weight) over 5,000 pounds on any street during restricted hours.
Residents face permit denial or revocation for additional commercial vehicles, and fines apply to oversized commercial vehicles parked on city streets during restricted hours.
