This sits inside the same Performance Requirement R1 section that governs accessory buildings and structures generally, so the storage ban applies alongside the setback and placement rules for sheds and garages in Chapter 3 of the zoning ordinance.

The rule targets the storage function of these vehicles, meaning a tractor trailer, shipping container or mobile office unit parked and used to hold goods, equipment or materials on a residential or O&I-zoned lot is not permitted regardless of where on the lot it sits; it is not a setback problem to be cured by relocating the unit, because the use itself is barred district-wide. The prohibition sweeps in mobile homes and travel trailers used the same way, closing off a common workaround where a property owner parks a decommissioned trailer or container as a de facto shed.

The rule does not, on its face, regulate a commercial truck simply parked temporarily in a residential driveway while in active use as a vehicle; it targets the storage-use application of these vehicle types once they are stationed on a residential or O&I lot.
