8 and do not exceed eight feet in height; fencing greater than eight feet is allowed only when it is an integral part of a recreational use and no visual obstruction occurs. 8, Visibility at Intersections, separately restricts corner lots: no planting, structure, sign, fence or wall more than three feet in height, measured from the centerline of the street, may be placed within the triangular sight area formed by the intersecting road rights-of-way. At the intersection of two roads, a ten-foot by seventy-foot sight triangle applies, with the ten-foot measurement running along the right-of-way of the road required to stop and the seventy-foot measurement along the unimpeded road; at a four-way stop, the triangle applies to each roadway.

8 overrides the general 8-foot height allowance wherever the two rules overlap on a corner lot. The recreational-use exception in R15 is the only path past the 8-foot cap, and it requires that the taller fencing create no visual obstruction, which the ordinance does not further quantify beyond that standard.
