Plano Code Β§12-114 prohibits trucks, tractors, and commercial vehicles from parking on public streets in residential districts. Texas Transportation Code Β§545.307 additionally prohibits overnight parking (10 PM-6 AM) of commercial motor vehicles on streets in residential subdivisions where signs are posted. Residents may petition the city for posted signs with signatures from at least 25% of subdivision owners or tenants. Business-signed vehicles must not park on the street or within 30 feet of the curb per home occupation rules.
Violations result in warnings followed by fines of $100β$300 per occurrence. Vehicles parked in violation for extended periods may be subject to towing at the owner's expense.
