On County roads designated by Board of Supervisors resolution and posted with signs, oversized commercial vehicles (commercial-plated vehicles or combinations exceeding 22 feet) cannot be parked between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
Marin County Code section 15.36.090 prohibits parking of oversized, commercial vehicles between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. on County roads or locations specified by Board of Supervisors resolution. An 'oversized, commercial vehicle' is defined as a vehicle (per CVC section 670) or combination of vehicles, trailer and/or auxiliary equipment with a commercial license plate and overall length, measured bumper-to-bumper (or front-to-back on vehicles lacking bumpers), of more than 22 feet. The restriction cannot be enforced until adequate signage informing the public has been installed. The 72-hour countywide parking limit (MCC 15.36.030) also applies to commercial vehicles. Violations are infractions punishable by a $100 fine, with each overnight parking period treated as a separate violation (MCC 15.36.100).
Each overnight parking period during which the violation occurs is treated as a single infraction punishable by a $100 fine under MCC 15.36.100. Commercial vehicles parked over 72 hours may also be cited and towed under CVC 22651(k).
