It is unlawful to park or store a large commercial vehicle (GVWR 14,001 lbs or more) or trailer on any public road in or adjacent to an urban-residential area of unincorporated Snohomish County at any time (SCC 11.05.030). Elsewhere the limit is 12 hours per day.
Chapter 11.05 SCC, added in 2019, targets bulldozers, backhoes, tractors, tank/crane trucks, and any vehicle over 14,000 lbs GVWR used for transport, construction, industry or farming, plus commercial trailers. In urban-residential zones (R-9,600, R-8,400, R-7,200, T, LDMR, MR, MHP) such vehicles are prohibited on public roads except while actively loading/unloading or under a right-of-way permit. In non-residential areas they may not exceed 12 hours in a 24-hour period. Recreational travel trailers licensed for personal use are excluded from the definition.
Any violation of chapter 11.05 SCC is a traffic infraction subject to chapter 46.63 RCW. Enforcement does not require posted signs.
