Topeka, KS Parking Rules: Commercial & Oversized Vehicles (2026)

It shall be unlawful for any person to park or cause to be parked any truck tractor, trailer or semitrailer owned or under the physical control of such person, on any highway or street in the City, for a period of time longer than one hour of any day; provided, that this section shall not apply to vehicles owned by the United States of America, the State and the City or if otherwise allowed by City code. As used herein, the term “park” or “cause to be parked” means the standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading property or passengers or while engaged in residential or commercial construction or repair work.
