Washtenaw County does not zone commercial-vehicle parking; your city or township does. In Ann Arbor residential zones, no more than 2 commercially-licensed vehicles may be parked in the open on your property or within 500 feet on a public street.
Under the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (MCL 125.3101), cities and townships regulate commercial vehicles in residential areas, not the county. Ann Arbor Code Sec. 5:166(4) limits residential zones to two commercially-licensed vehicles parked in the open on the owner's private property or within 500 feet on a public street. Sec. 5:166(5) separately bars any commercial vehicle licensed for an empty weight over 5,500 pounds, or any vehicle over 22 feet long, from an off-street parking space in residential zones. Other Washtenaw municipalities set their own limits, so verify locally.
Municipal civil infraction under Ann Arbor Chapter 59; the city may issue a ticket and correction order. Fines are set by the city.
