Celina, TX Parking Rules: Driveway Rules (2026)

Under Celina's traffic and vehicles code, no vehicle may be parked or stored between the building and the street frontage unless it sits on the driveway; that off-limits zone expressly includes the side yard on corner and irregularly shaped lots. Any vehicle not parked on the driveway must instead be located in the rear yard, generally screened from public view. The rule dovetails with Chapter 14's zoning standards, which cap residential driveway width to match the garage door and limit total lot paving to 20 percent. A violation carries the code's general penalty of up to $500 per offense, and each day the violation continues counts as a separate offense.
