Full Breakdown
Yuba County Code § 11.07.040(a)(2) requires new residential driveways within the Valley Growth Boundary of unincorporated Yuba County to be built to Public Works' standard driveway plan, with widths between 12 and 30 feet and no more than one driveway per 100 feet of lot frontage. The companion development-standards table (§ 11.07.030, 'Garage' row) additionally requires a minimum 20-foot driveway apron for front-loaded garages, cross-referencing § 11.07.040(a). Outside the Valley Growth Boundary, and inside Marysville or Wheatland, these specific dimensional standards do not apply: check Public Works or the relevant city code instead.
Violations & Fines
Driveways built outside the 12-to-30-foot range or without the required apron can be flagged during inspection; Public Works may require the approach rebuilt to the standard plan before occupancy is granted.
