Castle Rock's Municipal Code sets no dedicated ordinance reserving on-street parking spaces for electric vehicle charging. EV parking follows the same general parking, driveway-surface, and posted-sign rules as any vehicle. New development parking design is governed by the Town's off-street parking standards.
The Town has no standalone code chapter creating EV-only parking or curbside charging spaces; electric vehicles are subject to the same rules as other vehicles - on-street parking allowed where safe, private-property vehicles on an improved surface, and posted-sign restrictions enforced under the Model Traffic Code. Off-street parking layout for new construction is governed by Title 17, Chapter 17.54. Colorado state law (the Model Traffic Code adopted at CRMC 10.04.010) separately defines and regulates low-speed electric vehicles, but that concerns operation, not charging-station parking. Charger installation is handled through the Town's building-permit and electrical-code process.
No EV-specific penalty. General parking violations are traffic infractions; posted-sign violations follow Model Traffic Code Section 1204, with parking fines doubling if unpaid within 15 days (CRMC 10.04.040.J).
