Castle Rock allows on-street parking along most public streets, but enforces seasonal snow-removal restrictions on key downtown streets. From December 1 through March 31, parking is prohibited on portions of Third and Fourth Streets from midnight to 7 a.m. so plows can clear hard-to-reach sections. Title 9 of the Municipal Code governs general public-peace and moving-vehicle offenses.
Castle Rock's parking regulations are codified across Title 9 (Public Peace, Morals & Welfare) and Title 10 (Vehicles & Traffic) of the Municipal Code. The general rule: on-street parking is allowed on public streets where it can be safely accommodated. Two narrow snow-season exceptions: from December 1 through March 31, no parking is allowed midnight-7 a.m. on the marked portions of Third and Fourth Streets in downtown. The town also reserves the right to declare a snow emergency and post temporary no-parking signs on routes needing curb-to-curb plowing. Neighborhood-specific restrictions (e.g., school zones, residential parking permit areas) apply where signed. Title 17 Chapter 17.54 covers off-street parking requirements at residential and commercial properties.
Parking in a posted no-parking zone, blocking a snow route, or exceeding a signed time limit is a civil municipal violation. Vehicles obstructing snow-clearing operations may be towed at owner expense in addition to a ticket.
