80 of the Fresno County Code, adopted by Ord. No. 7. 030 requires that a permit application meeting the county's adopted checklist, drawn from the "Plug-In Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Permitting Checklist," be deemed complete and promptly processed; the Building Official or a designee must then approve it and issue all necessary permits. Applicants cannot energize or use the station until Fresno County has completed a final inspection. If the application is incomplete, the Building Official issues a written correction notice detailing every deficiency. 030(C) allows electronic submittal, including through the county's online Customer Portal or by email, and accepts electronic signatures in place of a wet signature.

040 lets the Building Official require a use permit if there is substantial evidence of a specific, adverse impact on public health or safety, but bars conditioning approval on sign-off from a homeowners' association under Civil Code Section 4080. 050 requires charging equipment and its wiring, bonding, disconnecting means, and overcurrent protection to meet Article 625 of the California Electrical Code, and requires the load to be treated as continuous for electrical load calculations. 060 makes this chapter control over any less restrictive conflicting local law.
