Ada County Code Section 8-3-10 governs off-street loading. Any commercial or industrial use with a gross floor area of 5,000 square feet or more requires off-street loading and must provide at least one loading space, with one additional space for each subsequent 20,000 square feet. Each loading space must be at least 10 feet wide, 30 feet long, with 14 feet of vertical clearance. Loading spaces may not be within 50 feet of an abutting rural, transitional or residential district (unless enclosed) and may not face a residential district. Near homes, loading is prohibited between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
