Full Breakdown
County code sets minimum off-street loading berth counts scaled to building size: for example, a 50,000 to 99,999 square-foot commercial building needs one semi-truck berth. All loading must occur on-site; it may not take place from a public road right-of-way, with a narrow exception for private internal local streets. A loading space or berth can never be used in a way that blocks vehicle or pedestrian movement over a street, alley, or sidewalk.
Violations & Fines
Operating without the required on-site berths, or loading trucks from a public right-of-way, is a Land Development Code violation subject to county code enforcement citation and correction order.
