Full Breakdown

§ 576-411 bars parking, stopping or standing in a marked loading or timed zone beyond the posted time limit, or without active loading activity. It separately prohibits drifting a vehicle to conceal a police chalk mark within the zone. Subsection C reserves commercial loading zones, used by retail businesses for deliveries and pickups, for commercial vehicles of 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight or more; a passenger vehicle with a truck registration doesn't qualify. Where a loading zone falls inside a metered parking zone under § 576-502, the meter rate in the City's fee schedule applies.

Violations & Fines

Parking, standing or loading-zone drifting violations carry a $35 fine, reduced to $17.50 if paid within 10 days, under the penalty schedule at §576-416.C for §576-411 offenses.
