Baltimore County has no countywide overnight residential street-parking ban, but heavy commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds may not park overnight on residentially zoned property, and unregistered vehicles may not be parked on public roads.
There is no general countywide prohibition on parking a passenger vehicle overnight on a public residential street in Baltimore County; posted time limits or community permit programs apply only where signed. The main overnight restrictions target commercial and unregistered vehicles. Under BCZR Section 431, a commercial vehicle exceeding 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight may not be parked overnight on a residential lot beyond time essential to its immediate use. Baltimore County Code Section 18-2-206 also bars parking a commercial vehicle on public roads in a residential zone except when essential to immediate use, and Section 18-2-203 prohibits parking an unregistered vehicle on public roads.
