The unincorporated county has no blanket overnight on-street parking ban, but a 2018 chronic-nuisance code and a public-camping ordinance limit living or camping in vehicles. County parks allow overnight camping only where designated (Liberty Lake Regional Park).
Spokane County does not prohibit overnight vehicle parking on residential county roads by ordinance; state towing law (RCW 46.55) still applies to abandoned or junk vehicles. Camping in a vehicle on a property that is not a legally established residence is restricted: county code limits such camping to no more than two weeks per calendar year with the property owner present. In county parks, camping and overnight stays are allowed only at designated sites such as Liberty Lake Regional Park; overnight parking or sleeping in a vehicle elsewhere in a park is not permitted.
Camping/nuisance violations are enforced under SCC 6.13 with a $250 per-day monetary penalty; park violations under park rules.
