Pasco County Land Development Code Section 530.5 allows recreational vehicles (including boats, campers, trailers, and jet skis) on residential lots under one acre only in the side or rear yard, never in the front yard or front driveway except temporarily for loading, and they must be set back at least five feet from side/rear lines and screened by an opaque six-foot fence or vegetation.
Under Pasco County Land Development Code (LDC) Section 530.5 (Chapter 500, Supplemental Regulations), on residentially zoned property less than one acre RVs may be parked or stored only in a side yard or rear yard, not in front of the principal building line or in front yards/front driveways, not within five feet of a side or rear property line, and they must be screened from all abutting property by an opaque six-foot fence or vegetation at least 75 percent opaque and six feet high. Larger and agricultural lots (A-C, AC-1, A-R, AR-1, AR-5, AR-5MH, ER-2 and residential parcels of one acre or more) have more latitude but still cannot park RVs in the required front setback. Campers and motor homes may be temporarily parked in the driveway for trip preparation, loading, unloading, and cleanup for up to 72 hours in any 7-day period, up to four times per calendar year. No RV may be parked or stored on the right-of-way, used for residential purposes, or connected to water, sewer, or electric lines (battery chargers excepted). A non-resident houseguest's RV may be parked up to 10 days, four times per year, with a displayed Guest RV Parking Permit.
RV/boat parking violations are code-compliance violations enforced by Pasco County Code Compliance under Chapter 500; the County's 2025 right-of-way amendment provides for warning notices followed by escalating fines (up to $500 per day) after the educational period.
