Franklin County, FL Parking Rules: RV & Boat Parking (2026)

Franklin County Code § 13-11(d), part of the article prohibiting nuisance activities in Lanark Village, states that motor homes, campers, boats, trailers, semitrailers and all-terrain vehicles cannot be parked in the streets or in the yards of residences in Lanark Village Unit One, in Block 13 of Lanark Village Unit Two, or in Block 14 of Unit Three. The county carved out specific exceptions: the restriction does not apply to yards on Lots 1 through 5 in Block 11, nor to all of Blocks 12, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 in Lanark Village Unit One, so owners on those parcels may keep an RV, boat or trailer in the yard.

Motor homes measuring 25 feet or less may still park along the sides of village streets even where yard parking is restricted. This is a Lanark Village-specific rule; it sits inside the same section that bars noxious or offensive trades, nuisance structures, and dumping garbage or debris on a lot, all adopted together to keep the platted village free of clutter and nuisance conditions. The rule was adopted by Ord. No. 96-15 in 1996 and amended twice in 1997, and the editor codified it as § 13-11 because the adopting ordinances did not specifically amend the Code.
