Snohomish County Ordinance 25-021 added Chapter 11.06 SCC, capping recreational-vehicle parking on public rights-of-way at 72 hours, after which the RV may be noticed and impounded. On private lots, an RV (travel trailer, motor home, truck camper, or camping trailer per SCC 30.91R.050) is an allowed use only in RD, RRT-10, R-5, F, F&R, A-10, SA-1, RC and RU zones. When it is the primary use, one RV may be placed up to 180 days in any 12-month period and must be fully licensed and highway-ready. RV storage is only allowed on permitted RV-park properties.
After 72 hours on a public road the RV may be noticed and impounded under SCC 11.06. Occupancy or storage violations on private lots are handled as PDS code-enforcement civil infractions.
