Summary
Lee County does not limit how many RVs or boats you keep at your home. The rule that applies in residential zones bans commercial trucks, and a recreational vehicle is expressly excluded from that definition.
Any truck and trailer combination, excluding a trailer used solely for noncommercial or recreational purposes, resulting in a combined manufacturer's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) in excess of 15,000 pounds.

LDC Section 34-1181(a) keeps tractor-trailers, trucks with two or more rear axles and trucks rated over 15,000 pounds GVWR off property zoned AG, RS, RSA, RSC, TFC, TF, RM, MH, RV, PUD, RPD, RVPD, MHPD or the residential portion of an MPD. A truck-and-trailer combination over a combined 15,000 pounds is barred too, but a trailer used solely for noncommercial or recreational purposes is carved out. Code of Ordinances Section 28-187 repeats those thresholds and states that a commercial truck does not mean a recreational vehicle. Living aboard a boat moored at your home is separately prohibited.
Violations & Fines
Code enforcement must first put a written removal notice on the vehicle and allow a reasonable time to move it. A citation follows, and on a repeat violation the vehicle may be towed at the owner's expense.
