Full Breakdown
Section 3007.01 of the Reservoir Community District bans parking or storing any motor home, transient trailer, boat or trailer in a front or side yard within a platted residential subdivision near the Ross Barnett Reservoir. The vehicle must instead sit in a paved garage, paved carport, paved apron or paved driveway. Two subdivisions are carved out by name: The Vineyards and most of Barnett Bend. This rule applies only to unincorporated Rankin County land inside the RCD overlay, it does not reach the reservoir-adjacent parts of Brandon, Pearl, Flowood or the other incorporated towns, which set their own parking rules.
Violations & Fines
An RV, boat or trailer sitting on grass, gravel or dirt in a front or side yard violates Section 3007.01; the County can require it moved to a paved surface or off the property.
