R. Resolution No. 2006-8 and amended through 2012, address recreational-vehicle and boat storage in Article XXIX, Sec. 02(b)(2), which applies in the "R-1," "R-2," "R-3," "R-4," "M-1" and "M-1a" residential districts. The rule bars parking or storing trucks over 1 1/2 tons net legal carrying capacity, truck trailers, truck tractors, farming equipment, and construction/repair/maintenance equipment, vehicles, machinery or materials on a lot unless the item sits inside an enclosed lawful structure or is screened from view from any abutting property or street. A temporary carve-out lets such equipment sit out in the open only while actively used for a permitted temporary activity on the premises, such as construction, repair or moving; once that activity ends, the equipment must go into an enclosed structure, be screened, or be hauled off the lot.

The regulation then draws a hard line for the heaviest equipment: 'no truck, trailer, bus, boat, tractor, or similar vehicle, machinery, or equipment with a gross vehicle weight, or gross carrying weight of five tons or more shall be parked or stored any place on a lot or tract of land within an "R" or "M-1" or "M-1a" districts,' with no screening exception available for that weight class. 11, who investigates reported violations and refers matters through proper legal channels; other county department officials are directed to report apparent violations to the administrator.
