Under the same Land Development Code accessory-use list, Springfield, Missouri residents may store boats, boat trailers, camping trailers, small house trailers, and recreational vehicles on residential property as a permitted accessory use: no separate permit is required for the storage itself under Sec. 36-450(3)(b)1. The only condition is that the equipment can't be used for living, sleeping, or housekeeping while parked or stored on the lot. Accessory uses generally can't sit in a required front yard unless Sec. 36-453 allows it, so placement on the lot still matters even though the storage itself is by-right.
